Abstract: Caste as a Social System in India, is a form of Social Stratification. Varna System was a functional division of labour based on guna or aptitude. In course of time, each stratum developed its own subculture, the Shudras were reduced to permanent backwardness as a service class. Each caste has its own customs, traditions and rituals to regulate the behavior of Caste members. Caste gets survival through this behavior. Caste economy promoted occupational interdependence (jajmani system). These occupational caste groups can be categorized as (i) Artisan castes (ii) Service castes. For a comprehensive understanding of the current status of the Artisan sector in southern India, it is important to understand the Artisan value chain. It depends on Human Resources, Legal Entities, Credits, Facilities, Technology, Transport to markets, Quality checks, Marketing and promotion goods.

Title | : | Influence of Celebrity in Television Advertising: A Study of Pepsi Consumers among Unilag Undergraduates |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Ibitayo FA || Tejumaiye JA |
Abstract: Competition among many brands and product in the market place is becoming more intense in recent times. Having a good product alone is not enough to compete in markets of high standards, obviously the changes in markets, consumer life-style and other relative factors are driving brand owners to focus more on more persuasive ways of promoting their product and celebrity endorsement has now become a popular choice in the advertising industry. Celebrity endorsement is one of the advertising techniques companies use to create awareness and favourable responses about their products and service. This expectation may be realized if the end-user can be influenced by the celebrity endorser; as incongruity of a celebrity endorser with the product being endorsed is capable of inducing bad responses towards the product rather than the other way round.

Title | : | Geosecuritysubstance: A Conceptual Approach to Bio-Geographical Hotspots of Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Nazifi Umar || Dr Ali Ibrahim Naibbi |
Abstract: John M. Collins observed that "Modern warfare,however, is so complex that commanders at every level must consistently manipulate geographic influences advantageously to gain a decisive edge" (Collins, 1998, p. XXIII). Geographic factors like topography, weather, climate and biota influences warfare throughout history, from strategy, coursing to planning and execution of the battle. This fact was confirmed by observing how wars were won or lost throughout history. Losing the Vietnam War by the USA, and the upper hand sometimes gained by Pakistan over India in their northern border crises, are good global examples. Also,the ease of winning war against Maitasine in the past,as well as the difficulty faced by the Nigerian army in crushing Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND)and Boko Haram recentlywere all influenced by geographical factors.

Title | : | Developing A Model of Translation Strategy: Contract Document Translation Products |
Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Roswani Siregar |
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out the development model of translation strategy in the process of contract document translation from English into bahasa Indonesia. There are six contract documents (translation products) as the source of data in this analysis. It can be identified that the terms used in the documents are mostly related to economical terms (accounting, management, and finance). In grasping the idea of translation product, the researcher found some problems. This is because of the culture difference and linguistic system of both languages (source text to target text).

Title | : | Reason as the guide in Human action: Aquinas' Ethics |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Okoro Edward Ajanwachukwu PhD |
Abstract: Morality according to Thomas Aquinas is hinged on reason or the application of reason to discover the proper guide to our human conduct. This arises from the fact that there are competing goods available to man in decision making. Decisions are reached based on choices available. And choices are hinged on two powers of reason that man has. The powers of reason are the intellect and the will. A good will has a very important role in moral knowledge. By the power of a good will, man tries to gather the greatest possible means, to seek the best means and to choose it. These powers both the will and intellect, aid or help us in arriving at choice worthy conduct of behaviour. The good for man has to be rationalized. Aquinas had provided us with a better option in terms of rationality which places emphasis on character with regards to moral human conduct.

Title | : | Human Error and Organisational Learning in Nigerian Maritime Industry: A Survey of Exxon-Mobil Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Inegbedion Daniel Osemudiamen || Nsikan, Efiok John || Mbaa Bariate || Tommy Uduak Ime |
Abstract: There is a growing array of studies examining the role of human error in maritime safety. However the relationship between human error and organizational learning as it applies to shipping industry in developing nations like Nigeria is under-researched. This paper investigates human error by linking it to learning practices, with Exxon–Mobil Nigeria as the focus. The research approach was survey, collecting data from 50 staff onboard a deep sea floating oil vessel. Findings show that human errors (particularly, negligence of watch keeping, careless ship positioning, poor preparation to departure, poor preparation and response to adverse weather, and negligence of lookouts) are the major causes of marine accidents in Nigerian navigational waters. Open communication between workers and the employers, feedback on human errors, and entrenchment of safety culture have been found as appropriate organizational learning practices capable of reducing human errors and minimizing accidents at sea.
Keywords: Human errors, organizational learning, oil tank fire and explosion, vessel grounding

Title | : | Applying the Law to Tackle the Menace of Revenge Porn in Nigeria: Lessons from the United Kingdom |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Augustine E. Arimoro |
Abstract: The use of the internet and social media in the modern era is wide spread across the globe. By the mere click of a mouse or the push of a button on computers, mobile phone devices or electronic tablets messages or information could be sent across the entire universe whether as emails, status upload or message broadcast. While the use of the internet and social media platforms are now in vogue in terms of the dissemination of messages and also as an avenue for keeping in-touch with friends, colleagues and loved ones, these tools have become handy for jilted lovers or blackmailers to cause distress to others in the form of revenge porn. While the UK government has acted swiftly to delineate the crime by passing a new law to check the crime in April 2015, their Nigerian counterpart is yet to specifically define revenge porn.This paper argues that the punishment for the crime in the UK is not deterring enough.

Title | : | A Psychological Critical Analysis into Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground: the Underground Man as an Outsider |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Mohammed Al-Hiba || Dr. Ajay Tengse |
Abstract:Each one of us lives and experiences the life of coexistence or double being of self and other. We might not confess it, recognize it or rather prefer not to do so and we have our reasons, but it is there, the least in thought and assumption. Therefore, since this coexistence of the self and the other is a putative reality, as it were, since each one is the other for himself and for anyone else as well, since this duality, this reciprocity is a necessity of life; one would raise the question, why the other would be an issue, why the other would pose a threat, and more importantly, why the 'other' of a person should have a difficulty coping with its 'self' as well as the other's 'other'. Moreover, we need to know how some people end up being outcasts or outsiders in a society as a result of this personality doubleness, and eventually what is the difference between the two. The current paper is intended to do just the same.
