Abstract: Background: The times today are ruled by internet facilitated work and digital inspired entertainment. Long hours of internet use, with no outdoors does have consequences for the psychological health of an adolescent. At the same time, poor psychological health, can be a trigger for using internet as a means of escape from boredom, loneliness, anxiety, sadness, and frustration, a trend which seems to be rising during the current COVID-19 times. The present study explores the correlation between psychological distress and internet addiction among adolescents.
